I give 4 stars because the food was great as usual; however, the feeling and the set up was not very personal or festive. I hope that if you want to get your portion of Olive Garden go ahead but it was a little outdated.

I love the specials they have . Their Zuppa Toscana soup is my favorite soup. I would eat this every day if I knew how to cook it. The service is always good here. We enjoy coming and trying the different variety of dishes.

I went to Olive Garden a couple of weeks ago and was absolutely impressed with the waitress (her name was Chou). The service was as good as it gets! My daughter and I had the salad and bread sticks for dinner, and there no way to mess that up..... Back the the service - like I said, as good as it gets...... We went back last night, and unfortunately Chou was not at work yet. But, fortunately, her husband (Jeffrey) was there..... and, interestingly, he was as good as Chou!!! First class service at an Olive Garden - who would have thought, right? He even took the time to make sure my wife got the meal she liked! The food was Olive Garden food - tasty, and filling. I'm a fan as long as Chou and Jeffrey are servers there - it's extremely rare to find that caliber of service anywhere around here.

My trusty GPS took me by here on my way to the hotel. After watching the Food Channel Restaurant Impossible I swore off going to small restaurants and since I could not afford to get sick on such an important business trip I chose the mid range chain restaurants for a change. It was a Sunday evening and it was raining I was very tired and needed to get hydrated from my long trip out here. I was seated right away and they complied with my request for a booth since I was dining alone. Nick was my server and I told him to keep the ice waters coming and he asked if I wold enjoy a lemon slices with that, which was very nice. The larger chain restaurants filter their water. I wanted a lighter fare as I just wanted to eat so I would not wake up hungry so I found the build you own entree a great option as I had the salad which was included and the Tri Color Penne with roasted garlic Alfredo and added two Sausage meatballs. With tax the total come to $12.70 and since Nick gave me such excellent service and brought me multiple glasses of ice water he got a very healthy tip! I was one happy traveler I found this place to eat and would recommend.

A great place to go if you are really hungry! All of the food at Olive Garden is filling and there are great options for the whole family. I went there a few times before and never had any problems! In conclusion, Olive Garden is a great place to go if you are into Italian Food!

Same good quality food like you get at any other garden. Server from Chicago (sorry, forgot his name) was really nice. Although my ravioli had too much cheese sauce, overall experience was good. Pasta primavera and shrimp were fine as well.

After waiting over five minutes without a table greeting we walked out. There were five servers and a busboy walking in and out of the dining room. As a former OG server, I think that is absolutely ridiculous.

After flying in from Philly en route to a week at Cocoa Beach, a dinner stop at 9 PM was imperative. Two years ago we had stopped at Carraba's across the street and had a great meal; tonight, the decision was made to hit Olive Garden instead. Olive Garden never really excites me too much...personally. It will be decent, and the only thing that can make the evening dramatic is some sort of unworldly mishap. Kinda like a Toyota. Reliable, but never exciting...unless it is carjacked, or something like that. Anyway, OG is just another meal with staid decor, the same type of food, and salad. What will be, will be. Tonight did throw a carjacking our way. Despite entering at 9PM and seeing a pretty empty dining room, the service was fairly slow. Granted, we were a party of 13; however, I believe we were the only 13 in the entire room for most of the meal. My father in law, a man of little patience and littler patience when it comes to eating his pre-meal salad, finally asked if the waitress was overworked (in an empty room), as he hadn't seen his salad arrive. The waitress, who had been trying to get the meal together, showed up with three bowls promptly. The meals weren't far behind, and they were, as always, nothing to complain-or hoot- about. I had a peach chicken, while wife just had soup and salad. All was well and was consumed. In two more years, I'll stick my neck out for a stop at Carriba's on the ride into Cocoa. Better atmosphere, more interesting menu, and possibly better food. Still, ol' reliable proves ot be just that- and nothing more- again and again, regardless of the state!

This establishment puts Olive Garden to shame. I enjoy Italian food and in merritt island all you can really get is seafood. Olive Garden has been one of the places I visit frequently and their service here was a shocking disappointment. After having a meal here I had left over and I asked my waitress to put extra bread in my bag. Getting home the next day to eat my left overs I realized she failed to do so. Olive Garden is on my way home from work, so I called to request some bread. The girl who answered was VERY rude. And then she proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay for it. Not only did I have to stop at Olive Garden on my way home I then also had to wait about 10 minutes to just get some bread . Through out this whole process I was treated like I was lying. I have met some great servers who work at an Olive Garden and the good is tasty. But if you want the real Olive Garden experience.... I would choose another location.

I go to different restaurants depending on what I want to eat. I go here when I want a salad/soup/bread lunch. I'm yet to have a really good meal that was not in this category of food at this restaurant. The facility is like other Darden facilities, very well maintained, clean and nicely decorated. I'm just not into Italian food, overall. With that said, their food seems like it's not prepared in their kitchen, just like Red Lobster. I suspect they have food in trays, stored in a freezer and then fast heated either in a microwave or other fast cooker. I go to a restaurant for them to prepare a nice meal. By this, I mean they prepare it in their kitchen. Not truck it in via a container. I can do that myself by going to a grocery store and buying frozen food for take home and do so a whole lot cheaper than I can at a restaurant. Darden creates most of their meals in this manner.

Okay, I've been to this place for years so, based only the last couple of times I've gone this year (2012), here goes... Food as always is great. It's not "authentic" Italian (if you want that there's plenty of Mom n Pop joints to go to) but well made regardless. The service can be dicey at times but the last couple of times I get the impression they are really trying to work at that. The restaurant does need a decor update I suppose. The neighboring Red Lobster had one and it looks great now. I would have given it 3.5 stars but the site doesn't provide that option. Overall, good food, service that is improving, and since it's always busy when we good - obviously still popular.

We were staying overnight in Cocoa Beach while waiting for our cruise to depart the next day and ended up eating at this Olive Garden. The food was standard--pretty tasty but definitely not authentic Italian food. The service was pretty good, too, though the waitress kept forgetting things. She was really nice about it and brought out whatever she forgot almost immediately, but it seemed like there was too much going on for her to focus. The restaurant was about half full on a Sunday night. I'm not sure what that branch is like normally, but it didn't seem that busy to me. The restaurant itself seemed kind of outdated and we were in a really awkward booth--the table was glued to the wall and both of us were seated back so far from the table that I had to sit on the very edge of my seat to reach my food.

Look, when you eat at Olive Garden you know you're going to have a great meal. The experience is really dependant on the staff, their friendliness, and the speed at which they see to your needs. My experience at this location for lunch greatly exceeded expectations. The waiter, Kyle, was phenomenal. He was very attentive and made sure all our needs were met. You should ask for him if you visit this location.

My boyfriend and I consider Olive Garden to be "our place" so when at Kennedy Space Center on Valentine's Day we decided we must find an Olive Garden in the area to eat at. We ended up coming across this Olive Garden in Merritt Island. The area was a beach area and a bit rundown looking. The Olive Garden wasn't as fancy or nice-looking on the outside as the ones we're used to in Orlando and the decor inside was very old-fashioned kinda motel looking. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service we received. Our waitress was an older woman with tons of energy and good cheer. She was very attentive and really worked her butt off. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything about it was perfect. Guess you can't judge a book by it's cover!

I don't live in this area but we were driving back home from Miami, we didn't want to eat fast food, so we drove 6 miles from 95 just to eat at this Olive Garden, we were seated and for 10 minutes nobody came to our table, the young waiters ignored us until I asked loud and clear for our server... Funnt thing they didnt know who our server was! Moments later, we got a girl who came to get our order but didnt apologize for the wait... Food and drinks took FOREVER to get to our table, we had to pretty much chase her for refills, extra bread, etc... The place wasnt even packed! But when we left we saw our waitress in a nice conversation with this other server... awful service... The only good thing was the food...

I've been going to Olive Garden for more than a decade all over the Atlantic Coast. This, by far, was the biggest disappointment. Parking was packed and we had to park in an adjacent parking lot. Then, the wait was enormously long. The restaurant was very crowded The food was good, when it finally arrived, but the overall experience was not a great one.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
